Its week 7 of KAF’s Bake the Bag featuring a Cinnamon Whole Wheat Scone recipe.
I am pretty picky about my scones. I really enjoy the fluffy ones with the texture like a buttermilk biscuit.
Usually what I see are the crumbly dry things that I can’t for the life of me understand how these things sell. I have tried it multiple times…
Week #5 of KAF’s Bake the Bag: Whole Grain Flatbread was easy and yummy. I couldn’t imagine wheat flour as a substitute for white in a flatbread/roti recipe but I was pleasantly surprised.
For the baking challenge this week we have sticky buns!
Okay, so I begrudgingly tackled Whole Grain Sticky Buns for Week 4 in the series.
Have to say initially I haven’t been a fan of sticky buns and this may be mostly due to the nuts and dryness in the buns that I have encountered in the past. Had I made them before? No, not real interested to be honest.
Cooking or Baking, I do love trying and testing new recipes. I try to pick recipes that appeal to me and also has an element that is unfamiliar or different from my go to recipes.
One of my favorite cooking blogs/store/source is running a baking challenge! WOOT!
In honor of Banana Bread day I thought I would bake up a couple of loaves. I love the traditional banana bread but I wanted to try something different.
I generally try to replace some of the all purpose flour with wheat flour when I can. In most recipes I have not been able to taste a difference and I am adding a better for you element. This time I also added some chia seeds.
