For the Holidays, I always make different types of cookies to give as gifts and for my family to enjoy on Christmas Eve & Day. It does change each year but there are a few varieties that I make over and over. I always have a shortbread, sugar cookies, gingerbread and Nutella cookie recipes.
This year I tried a couple of new recipes and I got many thumbs up from friends and family so will be keeping them!
And now my favorite cookies (and other things) for this year….
Butter Cookies (like the ones in the blue tin) – new for me
Peanut Butter Cookies
Eggnog Blossoms – new for me
Chai Latte Snickerdoodles – new for me
Thumb Print Cookies – new for me
Chewy Gingerbread Cookies – new for me
Ginger Shortbread (with crystallized ginger)
Gingerbread Spritz Wreaths – new for me
What I noticed is that I a few different ginger type cookies which is unusual for me. I also did not get around to decorating sugar cookies or my version of gingerbread roll out cookies this year which is a standard for me. This year from Thanksgiving to Christmas week I was down and out with back to back illnesses which really limited my baking schedule this year. I am so thankful I started baking mid-November before I got sick so that we had any cookies at all!
For the next week, I will be posting all the recipes I used this year so you can make them.
