Hazelnut and chocolate, such a delicious combination.
My first taste of this combination was with Nutella a couple years ago and I have been experimenting with recipes including this duo ever since.
Here is a recipe that is not super sweet and is going to be one of my favorites for sure!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3.5oz Godiva Chocolate Hazelnut bar, broken into pieces but make sure to eat 2 squares to make sure its good
- 1 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Hazelnut/Chocolate Frosting
- King Arthur Chocolate Sprinkles
Heat oven to 350°F. inch square pan.
In a quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly. Cool slightly.
In medium bowl, beat sugar, vanilla and eggs. Mix in chocolate mixture. Mix in flour just until blended. Spread in pan.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or just until bars begin to pull away from sides of pan.
Cool completely in pan on cooling rack.
