National Ice Cream Day

Tara's Coffee Mini Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

In 1984, Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month.  He also named the third Sunday in July as National Ice Cream Day.  So that means this Sunday, July 18 deserves a special celebration!

I heard earlier this week from a friend, it was National Ice Cream day,  so a few of us met down at to Cold Stone after work to enjoy some ice cream yummy-ness. As we enjoyed our treats, we talked about the best kinds of ice cream flavors. We even briefly debated heading over to another ice cream shop, up the street, as we did not want the fun to end!  Yes, we are that serious about our ice cream.  Sadly, after standing around for a while and becoming full, we decided that maybe the next week we should create a meeting for another treat day.  Say National Cupcake day (is that a day already??) or have an Ice Cream day Part II -the Remix. It was a lot of fun!
