Serves 4 to 6
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
3 fresh mushrooms sliced
1 package of peeled garlic cloves -8 cloves
4 Roma tomatoes
1 1/2 pounds extra lean ground beef or ground turkey
1 jar (26-ounce) your fav marinara sauce
1 can of stewed tomatoes (optional, only if you want more sauce)
1 box (16-ounce) spaghetti
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and butter. When butter melts, add minced garlic and saute for 20 seconds. Add mushrooms and peeled garlic cloves; saute for 3 minutes. Add beef/turkey and cook until browned.
Add marinara sauce (plus optional stewed tomatoes) and stir to combine. Cover skillet.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes to combine flavors.
Cook spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain. Toss hot pasta with the sauce.
