1 1/4- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground turkey breast
1/2 cup of water
12 taco shells (one 4.6 ounce box)
Homemade Taco Mix (below) -3 tablespoons per 1 pound of ground meat
Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
1 tsp of dried minced onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Store in airtight container, in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

1. In a 5-quart nonstick sauté pan, brown the turkey over medium heat.
2. Stir in chili mixture.
3. Cook until turkey is completely cooked.
4. Spoon tablespoons of hot filling into warm taco shells.
5. Top with your fav toppings.
Makes 12 Tacos to serve 4.
* Tara Notes:
You can use ground turkey, lean beef or chicken, all work really well. I also just make a big batch of the taco seasoning and have around anytime I want to use it. You can make your own taco shells or fry them but usually I find that buying the box kind (the ones that stand up themselves) are seriously the easiest and fastest way to go.
